New Life Restoration Ministries

New Life Restoration Ministries (NLRMI) is a faith-based organization dedicated to transforming communities in Kibera Slums and other marginalized regions of Kenya. The ministry’s vision is rooted in the teachings of the Gospel, particularly Luke 19:10, which calls us to reach out to the nations. We aim to restore lives and build thriving communities through spiritual nourishment and socio-economic development.

As a local church, New Life Restoration Ministries is committed to ensuring the well-being of every individual, honoring the dignity bestowed upon them by God, as reflected in both the Old and New Testaments.

Our Mission in Kibera Slums

 Kibera, one of Africa’s largest slums, is home to an estimated 900,000 residents. The community is diverse, with a mix of cultures, but the area is marked by extreme poverty, overcrowding, and vulnerability to HIV/AIDS. The lack of adequate resources, coupled with issues like illiteracy, drug abuse, commercial sex work, and child abuse, exacerbates the struggles faced by its residents.

Many young people are forced into the streets, engaging in harmful activities such as drug trafficking, commercial sex work, and begging. At New Life Restoration Ministries, we have made it our mission to offer a lifeline to the people of Kibera through various programs focused on education, empowerment, and sustainable livelihoods.

New Life Restoration Ministries International. Growth and Expansion

Since its founding in 1997, New Life Restoration Ministries International has grown significantly. The church now has 60 branches across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, and continues to expand its outreach and impact. One of our proudest achievements is the establishment of the Restoration Educational Centre, which supports 210 children with educational scholarships and provides food to the students. To date, Restoration Academy has graduated 275 students, equipping them with the skills needed to break the cycle of poverty.
