Since its founding in 1997, New Life Restoration Ministries International has dedicated itself to both spiritual growth and community development. The ministry’s focus has been on reaching out to vulnerable communities and providing holistic support that addresses their spiritual, physical, and socio-economic needs. Over the years, the ministry has expanded to include a diverse range of activities designed to improve the lives of individuals and families, both within the church and the surrounding communities. Below is an overview of the key ministries that form the backbone of our work:

  1. Main Church Activities

At the core of New Life Restoration Ministries is its main church activities, which focus on the spiritual nourishment of the congregation. These activities include regular worship services, prayer meetings, Bible studies, evangelism, and discipleship programs. Through these efforts, the church aims to preach the Gospel, build up believers in their faith, and foster a strong sense of community. The ministry encourages spiritual growth and personal transformation, ensuring that individuals not only find salvation but also live out their faith in practical, everyday ways.

  1. Springs of Life Children’s Centre

The Springs of Life Children’s Centre was established to provide care and support to vulnerable children, especially orphans and those affected by HIV/AIDS, as well as street children and other children in need of special protection. This center offers a safe and nurturing environment, where children can receive education, emotional support, and physical care. The center’s mission is to restore dignity to these children by providing them with the tools they need to break the cycle of poverty, and to prepare them for a hopeful and successful future.

  1. Restoration Educational Centre

The Restoration Educational Centre was founded to address the lack of quality education in the Kibera slums and other underserved communities. This school provides affordable, high quality education to children, many of whom would otherwise have limited access to learning opportunities. The center not only focuses on academic excellence but also seeks to nurture character, instill values, and provide a holistic approach to education. The school aims to empower students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed academically and in life, fostering a generation of leaders who can positively impact their communities.

  1. Cottage Industry

The Cottage Industry initiative was established as a means to promote sustainable economic growth within the community. By empowering women and youth, the ministry offers opportunities for income generation through the production of local crafts and products, such as candles, soap, and other handmade goods. This program not only provides financial independence to families but also equips individuals with entrepreneurial skills, helping them break free from poverty. Through this initiative, New Life Restoration Ministries fosters self- sufficiency and long-term economic development in marginalized areas.

  1. Water Purification & SODIS

Access to clean water is a major challenge in many impoverished communities, particularly in the slums of Kibera. The Water Purification & SODIS (Solar Water Disinfection) project was implemented to address the critical need for clean, safe drinking water. Through this initiative, the ministry provides practical solutions to prevent waterborne diseases by offering water purification methods, including solar disinfection, to local households. This program is vital for improving health and well-being, as it helps reduce the incidence of waterborne diseases, which are common in overcrowded, resource-poor communities.
